2247 A.F., the final year of the reign of Empress Idaia; the beginning of the reign of Emperor Marl Kizer:

Fourth-month:

• 5th: The Empress Idaia dies in a sailing accident.
• 6th: The Empress’ death is announced. The Society members meet for Professor Obadiah Byrland’s lecture on previous imperial elections gone awry - a topic of interest since the Arch, once used to choose new Emperors, has been non-functional for 50 years. Ysabeau and Verity Arguelles go to enjoy the Dissolution. Ilphère finds out she will represent her family for the new imperial election. Guillame finds out he will be assisting his mother at the election. Sanadhil witnesses an occult ceremony on the Black Downs. (Diablotin 2 session 1)
• 7th: Alma and Altheo visit Medan at his shop, where they meet Ninon de Quercy who is trying to sell a necklace which she claims belonged to Noira Langevin. Ilphère attends the House Wolf assembly. Menard Kizer visits Seth and tells him about the Imperial candidates. Brother Sarigan has a visitation from Qadmiel. (Diablotin 2 session 1)
• 8th: Empress Idaia is buried; Alma and Sarigan chat after the service. Ysabeau is visited by Mijanou Parmentier and learns that there may be demons in government! Alma and Sarigan revisit Medan, who has decided to buy the necklace. Seth and Vereth Dundrennan chat about architecture, specifically a neighborhood known as Stone’s End, and the Arch. Sarigan takes Lora for a walk in an attempt to identify her past lives. (Diablotin 2 session 2)
• 9th: The Great Council convenes, with Alma, Guillame and Ilphère in attendance. Sanadhil and Sarigan run into one another at the Levellers’ rally; Altheo and Sanadhil also attend the rally which gets rather violent when the mob attempts to storm the Great Council. Altheo and Alma discuss the rally’s aftermath (Diablotin 2 session 2).
• 10th: Ysabeau and Ilphère chat about the possibilities of demons in disguise; Seth and Ilphère discuss the Arch; Sanadhil approaches Ilphère about the cult on the Downs; Alma visits Medan about the necklace once more (Diablotin 2 session 2). Silvia Rionet tells Guillame about her dream of the black snake and Alesia Rionet’s foolishness. Medan delivers the necklace to the Society where Alma, Vianca Belden and Benalda Grenrake discuss it. Ilphère discusses the Arch with Vianca. Altheo meets with Julian Izaguirre to discuss the necklace and Ninon de Quercy. Seth is picked up by his aunt Gwen Argo, who tries to recruit him into spying on the Levellers for the Kizers. Sanadhil pays Phedre Lozada-Boyne a visit, who invites him to attend one of the Downs cult gatherings. The second Great Council session happens. At it, Alma chats with Aden Olivier, Ilphère chats with Marl Kizer, who proposes a political union between their families. Guillame and Aden meet and they discuss possibilities for House Rat to rule sometime; Aden is magically attacked. Alma tells Ilphère about the necklace; Altheo joins them, then Seth. The necklace is stolen from the Society. (Diablotin 2 session 3).
• 11th: Guillame and Ilphère chat at the Great Council; Sanadhil and Ilphère chat after the Great Council. Ysabeau finds out about the robbery of the necklace and learns more about it from Sanadhil and Alma. Ilphère learns that Dominik has been hired to guard her (Diablotin 2 session 3).
• 12th: The four Imperial candidates go into seclusion. Ser Julian instructs Altheo to learn what he can about the necklace from Ninon de Quercy. Seth and Altheo discuss the theft, then travel to the Bonemire to visit Ninon. At the Great Council, Alma, Guillame, Ilphère and Dominik talk about the rumours surrounding the attack on Aden Olivier. (Diablotin 2 session 4)
• 13th: Sanadhil, Ilphère and Dominik talk about the Cult meeting Sanadhil has been invited to attend. They succeed in leaving Dominik at the Society, where he chats with Ysabeau until they intercept the attack of an imp. Ysabeau, Dominik, Vianca and Verity talk about the necklace, the robbery and the imp attack. Sanadhil and Ilphère, meanwhile, go to the cult meeting. (Diablotin 2 session 4)
• 15th: The day of the Imperial election. Marl Kizer is named the new Emperor of Aveyrone. The Wyrm appears, sending everyone into a panic.
• 16th: Emperor Marl Kizer is crowned and presented to the populace.
• 19th: Sanadhil and Altheo discuss the necklace. Then Sanadhil gets Alma to try using her magical gift on him. (Diablotin 2 Summer Solos)
• 23rd: Ilphere, Sanadhil and Ysabeau talk about the dragon. (Diablotin 2 Summer Solos)
• 24th: Sanadhil and Alma meet and talk about Emperor Marl and Alma’s magical gift again. (Diablotin 2 Summer Solos)
• 27th: Ysabeau and Dominik have a sparring match, then Ysabeau unintentionally insults Sanadhil while trying to defend Ilphère and Sanadhil’s honour. Later on she apologizes to Sanadhil. (Diablotin 2 Summer Solos)

Fifth-month:

• 1st: Vianca Belden presents her research on the necklace to the Society. Altheo finds out that Navis Culpepper and Tiphaigne Deverara are evil; he questions Tiphaigne about the robbery of the necklace. Altheo then tries to pass some intelligence along to Ysabeau in the library. (Diablotin 2 session 5)
• 2nd: Ilphère learns that Menard Kizer may be engaged to someone else. Her parents plot how to win him for her. Seth visits Menard at home as the servants are packing his things, and they discuss his marital prospects, particularly Ilphère. (Diablotin 2 session 5)
• 3rd: Alexior du Champe, the Emperor of House Rat, interviews Guillame about his falling-out with Ciatha Pervenche. (Diablotin 2 session 5)
• 5th: Sanadhil attends the theatre with Fleurisse Menomonie, and spots another half-elf. (Diablotin 2 session 5)
• 6th: Alma visits Biatrix Arguelles, who tries to play matchmaker. (Diablotin 2 session 5)
• 7th: Ysabeau and Murienne Chanuier make plans to visit Dessa Underdown. Zivia Rademacher tries to snare Dominik into assisting her with discrediting Ilphère. (Diablotin 2 session 5)
• 8th: Dominik rats out Zivia to Ilphère. Altheo attends an urgent meeting of the Spokesmen, after which he and Ser Julian discuss how to investigate the necklace and dragon. (Diablotin 2 session 5)
• 9th: César de Béziers returns home to Alma, unannounced. (Diablotin 2 session 6)
• 13th: Ysabeau and Murienne venture into their old neighborhood of the Shambles. Ilphère has tea with Menard in her parents’ home. Gwen visits the Argo residence for supper, and mentions to Seth that she’d like to be in charge of the Hush. Sanadhil receives a summons to a cult meeting. (Diablotin 2 session 6)
• 14th: Guillame and Aden talk about Marl’s appointees. Altheo and Ser Julian discuss secret plans at the Boar (Diablotin 2 session 6).
• 15th: Dominik practices with Laurine Talavera and chats with Halden of Gouge. (Diablotin 2 session 6)
• 16th: Dominik asks Sanadhil about martial arts. Ysabeau asks Altheo about Ninon de Quercy. Sanadhil goes to the theatre to learn about the half-elf actress. (Diablotin 2 session 6)
• 17th: Sanadhil and Ilphere discuss the upcoming Black Down cult meeting. Alma gets a visit from Aden. (Diablotin 2 session 6)
• 18th: Altheo hosts a secret Spokesman meeting at the Boar. (Diablotin 2 session 7)
• 19th: Sanadhil approaches Elisabet Lawfeld about a collaborative study on differences in casting styles between the different types of magic-user. Ilphère interviews Captain Trimmon Belden about the dragon. Guillame asks Fern about visiting the Undercity. (Diablotin 2 session 7)
• 21st: Dominik learns from Zivia that Ilphère has been spotted at cult meetings. (Diablotin 2 session 8)
• 22nd: Alma sees a ghost (?) at Society HQ, then chats with Biatrix about the César problem. Verity lets Ysabeau know she may get to play at the ball! (Diablotin 2 session 8)
• 23rd: Guillame visits Aure for the first time. Ysabeau tells Symon Tourigny about their chance to audition to play at the Imperial Ball. (Diablotin 2 session 8).
• 24th: Ilphère, Dominik and Sanadhil discuss the upcoming cult meeting, then attend it together. Afterwards, they meet up at Sanadhil’s house to discuss the events of the evening. (Diablotin 2 session 8, also geeksmut “Under the Circumstances”)
• 26th: The Vallon Consort auditions to play at the ball. (Diablotin 2 session 9)
• 27th: Ramon Lozada sets Altheo up to go to the ball and investigate. Ilphère and her parents decide who her escort should be. (Diablotin 2 session 9)
• 28th: Lystain deQuessenet asks Sanadhil to accompany Ilphère to the Ball. Sanadhil checks with Ilphère about it. Guillame asks Ciatha to accompany him. (Diablotin 2 session 9)
• 29th: Alma asks her brother César to accompany her to the ball. (Diablotin 2 session 9)
• 30th: Gwen enlists Seth’s aid as another set of eyes at the ball. Dominik finds out he’ll have to share a carriage with his brother. (Diablotin 2 session 9)

Sixth-month:

• 1st: The Imperial Ball. (Diablotin 2 session 9) Seth meets Theonée Deverara at it. Marl nearly recognizes Ysabeau. Altheo meets Felise Lozada for the first time, and she gives him a message to pass along to Ramon. Sanadhil meets Yanina Trueblood; Adrius Valenze and Altheo begin plotting how to rescue Felise; Alma meets Lord Grey who tries to recruit her into the Hush; Cornelia Nash charms Seth into thinking he ought to be wary of his aunt Gwen; Guillame and Aden come to an... Understanding?; Marl threatens Ilphère; Guillame and Portia Larache discuss the problems of House Rat; Sanadhil seduces Phedre; Dominik seduces Laurine (Diablotin 2 session 10).
• 2nd: Ilphere and her mother discuss the proposed marriage to the Comte Desperée, Kaladon Escalera, then Menard drops by for a visit. (Diablotin 2 session 10)
• 3rd: Ysabeau and Ilphère talk about Marl; Seth and Menard talk about Ilphère (Diablotin 2 session 10)
• 4th: Ilphère, Dominik and Sanadhil talk about how weak they feel since the ball, Marl’s threat and the prospect of marrying the Comte Desperée (Diablotin 2 session 11).
• 5th: Guillame attends a Levellers’ meeting with Aden. Ilphère receives the Comte Desperée. (Diablotin 2 session 11)
• 6th: Ysabeau agrees to look after some of Dessa’s things. Gwen and Seth discuss the rumblings amongst various intelligence networks. Dominik and Tymon Noss talk about the dragon.(Diablotin 2 session 11)
• 7th: Sanadhil wanders into a portal Nycaise L'averti has opened into the Shadow Plane, and steals stuff from the Shadar-kai library. Ser Julian asks Altheo to attend a Revelators meeting. Alma, Biatrix and Altheo attend the Revelators meeting. (Diablotin 2 session 11)
• 9th: Sanadhil tells Ilphere about his trip to the Shadar-kai library (Diablotin 2 session 11)
• 10th: Seth presents his paper, The Varied Fates and Resting-Spots of Diablotin’s Automata, to the Society. Members discuss his findings. Seth lets Ilphère know that he’ll be serving as messenger between herself and Menard. (Diablotin 2 session 12)
• 11th: Alma interviews Brother Obern Pell about Brother Phineas Strauch, for Lord Grey. (Diablotin 2 session 12)
• 12th: Ysabeau asks Verity for permission to house the noble girls Altheo wants to rescue. (Diablotin 2 session 12)
• 14th: Guillame has a rather unsettling conversation with his sister, Silvia. (Diablotin 2 session 12)
• 15th: Ilphère has a vision about ‘the Sovereign.’ Dominik follows her as she sleepwalks. (Diablotin 2 session 12)
• 16th: Dominik is approached by Avery Veilleux, who wants Dom’s help in revenging himself on Theron Rademacher. (Diablotin 2 session 12)
• 17th: Seth meets Leonien Kizer, who asks Seth to look into the Comte Desperée. (Diablotin 2 session 12)
• 18th: Ilphère tells Sanadhil about her vision. (Diablotin 2 session 12)
• 19th: The Rutting Boar is attacked by Sharp-ears’ henchmen. (Diablotin 2 session 12)
• 26th: Sanadhil visits the Rutting Boar; Altheo questions Sanadhil about the attack on the Boar last week. (Diablotin 2 session 13)
• 28th: Ilphère visits Menard at the Castalia library. Alma and Seth visit the Greysmoke Temple on a hunt for constructs. Sanadhil, Ilphère, Ysabeau and Dominik discuss Ilphère’s vision and what it may mean; they try to identify the man from the vision. Altheo pays Alcina Lescarbeau a visit to confront her about the investigation into the Revelators. (Diablotin 2 session 13)
• 29th: Guillame visits old Aure a second time. Dominik talks to Fredericia Hartzell about the emperor, imperial marriage prospects, and the Hush. (Diablotin 2 session 13)
• 30th: Vescan Corriveau breaks into Ysabeau’s house. (Diablotin 2 session 13)

Seventh-month:

• 2nd: Garlan informs Ysabeau of Dessa’s death. (Diablotin 2 session 14)
• 3rd: Sanadhil, Dominik and Ilphère discuss their plans for the next cult meeting. Ysabeau asks Dominik for some fightin’ lessons. Seth asks Guillame for some help regarding the rat statue he and Alma found in Schesutte’s hands at Greysmoke Temple. (Diablotin 2 session 14)
• 4th: Seth is disowned by his father. Ysabeau asks for Alma’s help in finding out why Dessa is dead. (Diablotin 2 session 14)
• 5th: Guillame has dinner at Aden’s. (Diablotin 2 session 14)
• 7th: Alma talks to Benalda about Lora. Altheo and Sanadhil discuss the Sharp-ears affair and Roene Bruyel’s abduction. (Diablotin 2 session 14)
• 8th: Dominik and Ilphère confront Earric Boyne about someone betraying Ilphere’s presence at cult meetings. Sanadhil shows up later and all three take part in the cult meeting. Ilphère has another vision; at the same time, Theron does. (Diablotin 2 session 14)
• 10th: Altheo and Sanadhil pay a visit to Sharp-ears and try to rescue Roene. (Diablotin 2 session 14)
• 11th: Alma interviews Lora; together they visit one of her past lives’ houses. (Diablotin 2 session 15)
• 12th: Ysabeau talks to Merrow Harkless about Dessa’s death; he promises to look into it for her. (Diablotin 2 session 15)
• 13th: Seth and Menard discuss their problems. Alma lets Ysabeau know what she has learned from the portrait. (Diablotin 2 session 15)
• 14th: Guillame comes out to his mother. (Diablotin 2 session 15)
• 15th: Ilphère discusses visions with Theron Rademacher; Dominik reluctantly accompanies her. (Diablotin 2 session 15)
• 16th: Sanadhil visits Roene at the Rutting Boar; then meets Dozilva do Baru in his own home. (Diablotin 2 session 15)
• 17th: Ramon delivers Felise into Altheo’s custody. Alma asks Seth for some help with her research into Lora’s past lives. (Diablotin 2 session 16)
• 18th: Altheo asks Alma to take Felise in. Guillame comes out to Ciatha. (Diablotin 2 session 16)
• 19th: Yanina Trueblood asks Sanadhil for some advice regarding the new Cozovodë ambassador, and invites him to a banquet in her honour. Ysabeau talks to Navis Culpepper about dragons and the Dragonfire War. (Diablotin 2 session 16)
• 20th: Theo of the Hush asks Dominik to look into Félise’s disappearance by interviewing Ramon. Ilphère and Dominik pay a visit to Phedre and Earric. (Diablotin 2 session 16)
• 22nd: Seth is dumped by Vereth. Sanadhil tells Ilphère and Dominik about the book he stole from the Shadar-kai library, and his encounter with Dozilva. (Diablotin 2 session 16)
• 23rd: Guillame talks to his mother about Silvia and Ciatha. Dominik asks Ysabeau about Altheo. (Diablotin 2 session 16)
• 25th: Dominik asks Altheo about Ramon Lozada. (Diablotin 2 session 17)
• 26th: Sanadhil and Ilphère ask Nycaise about her research on the Shadow Plane; they discuss Ilphère’s visions and the possibility of a portal to the Shadow Plane. (Diablotin 2 session 17)
• 27th: Seth interviews Errivan Escalara on behalf of Leonien Kizer. Guillame attends another Levellers meeting with Aden; the drought is discussed, then Guillame tries to find out why Thea Vermillion doesn’t seem to like him. (Diablotin 2 session 17)
• 28th: Ysabeau and Alma visit Terceira d’Avin to try to get the man in Dessa’s portrait identified. Menard proposes to Ilphère; the Imperial engagements are announced. (Diablotin 2 session 17)
• 29th: Sanadhil and Ysabeau talk about weddings. (Diablotin 2 session 17)
• 30th: Sanadhil and Seth find the secret portal into the Shadow Plane in Sarah’s Knell. (Diablotin 2 session 17)

Eighth-month:

• 1st: Ysabeau and Ilphère discuss what magical uses a lock of hair could have. Sanadhil tells Ilphère that he and Seth have found the way into the Shadow Plane. (Diablotin 2 session 18)
• 3rd: Alma and Felise discuss the Lozada family’s involvement in the cult. (Diablotin 2 session 18)
• 4th: Guillame visits Aure for a third time; they’re interrupted by Aure’s grandson, Loth. (Diablotin 2 session 18)
• 5th: Ilphère and Cordovera chat; Cordovera slips in and out of lucidity. (Diablotin 2 session 18)
• 8th: Sanadhil has a chance encounter with Taralynn Pine, a girl from his past. (Diablotin 2 session 18)
• 9th: Menard and Seth chat; Menard sets Seth up with lodgings in the palace. (Diablotin 2 session 18)
• 11th: Ysabeau tracks down Vescan Corriveau with Dominik’s help. (Diablotin 2 session 18)
• 13th: Sanadhil presents his research, In further support of extra-planar influence on the history and formation of the Aveyrone Empire, to the society. Members then plan an expedition into the Shadow Plane. (Diablotin 2 session 19)
• 14th: Alma and Altheo meet at the Nine Elms Church to discuss Felise and Viviane Lozada. (Diablotin 2 session 18)
• 16th: The expedition heads into the Shadow Plane. They discover a temple to Ophion, in which a statue rests in a sacrificial altar that resembles a snake’s gaping mouth. Sanadhil is poisoned by one of the fangs. (Diablotin 2 session 19) Sanadhil recovers. The party explores the temple and is attacked by some shadow monsters, which they kill. They find the remains of a previous adventurer and loot it. Seth gets an animal companion - a shadow pigeon. (Diablotin 2 session 20). The party leaves the temple. Alma finds a whistle. Most of the party goes to explore a castle where they find lots of dead bodies and a woman in stasis, and a scroll. The party regroups and returns to their own plane. (Diablotin 2 session 21)
• 17th: Alma finds out that someone may have seen Felise during the party that César threw at her house while she was on the expedition. (Diablotin 2 session 22)
• 18th: Menard tells Ilphère that the Comte Desperée killed himself the day before. Guillame goes to Aden’s for supper. (Diablotin 2 session 22)
• 21st: Seth is interviewed by Martine Sathin, Lady Chamberlain, who provides him a room in the palace. Ser Julian visits Altheo to tell him about the Comte Desperée’s suicide, and then about Altheo’s ties to the Corriveaus. (Diablotin 2 session 22)
• 22nd: Sanadhil is visited by Dozilva a second time. (Diablotin 2 session 22)
• 23rd: Ysabeau consults with Brother Onec Girouard about the coins looted from the body found in the Shadow Plane, and with Ser Julian about the bones themselves. Sanadhil tells Ilphère about his second encounter with Dozilva. (Diablotin 2 session 22)
