Momichas

The highest mountain in Naftusa Province and likely the highest in all of Khutu, Momichas lies roughly at the border with Taizi at the center of the Khurorgos Mountains. It is an extinct volcano whose caldera is now a strange lake. Its red rocky soils are said by legend to be the bloodstains left by the great ikhano (giant vultures) that are still sometimes seen in the region, and, legend says, by the queen of the ikhano, Ushukuna (Khuzal). Only the very hardy or very foolish ascend Momichas, although the Ravre, the country folk of the hills, are said to undertake rites of passage there.
