Treaty of Lekhi

The Treaty of Lekhi was a treaty sealed by the emperor Tulures Gandachi in 47 IE along with the Heart of the Hand of the Dead, in the temple at Lekhi in southern Hasmala. It established firmly and permanently the border between the provinces of Hasmala and Omba itself, and also established the autonomy and political authority of the Hand throughout Hasmala province, subject only to the Emperor himself. After the collapse of the empire in 338 IE, the Treaty of Lekhi became the foundational political document establishing the continued legitimacy of the Hand of the Dead to control Hasmala, against the competing claims of the noble lineages of the region.
