Stoneguard

From RocksfallWiki

Stoneguards are a highly trained military force charged with guarding the remains of the ancestors, the temples of the Voice where Ancestors are contacted, and saints who reside there. More broadly, they serve the communities in which they live as vigilant defenders. During the early years of the expansion of the Corps, the stoneguards were a much more numerous force, serving the goals of conversion and rooting out heresy. Now they are far fewer in number but still very important for the protection of holy communities.

Powers

1st level: The stoneguard receives a bonus to CMD equal to half his level (minimum +1).

1st level: Intimidating presence: While in his home community, or whenever guarding ancestors or temples of the Voice of the Dead, the stoneguard adds his Constitution bonus to Intimidate checks as well as his Charisma modifier.

1st level: The stoneguard receives Alertness as a bonus feat. For purposes of feat prerequisites, the stoneguard counts as a fighter of the same level.

2nd level: Fear resistance: The stoneguard receives a +2 morale bonus to any saves or checks that result in fear, including those that would cause him to be shaken, frightened, or panicked. He may use a Fortitude save in place of a Reflex or Will save against these effects.

3rd level: Hallowed might: Whenever under the effect of a hallow effect that provides a save bonus, the stoneguard gains a morale bonus to attack and damage rolls equal to the bonus to saving throws obtained. Whenever he is in an area that is hallowed, he always gains a +2 morale bonus to attacks, damage rolls, and saves (does not stack with the previous bonus).

5th level: The stoneguard gains damage reduction 1/-. This increases by 1 point every three levels thereafter to a maximum of 5/- at 17th level.

6th level: Lay to Rest: Three times per day as a standard action, the stoneguard may touch his weapon to a dead individual. That individual may never be rendered bubun or revived as a revenant.

7th level: Immovable: The stoneguard is immune to bull rush, drag, reposition, and trip combat maneuvers, as well as effects that would cause him to become staggered or prone.

8th level: Hallowed heroism: At 8th level, whenever under the effect of a hallow or in a hallowed area, the stoneguard gains a +4 morale bonus to attack, damage, saves, and temporary hit points equal to twice their level.

9th level: Take the hit: Whenever an adjacent ally takes damage from a melee or ranged attack, as an immediate action you can split the damage. You take half of the damage (rounded down), and your ally takes the remaining amount. This damage is not subject to any resistances or damage reduction you have, but any such defenses the target of the attack possesses apply before the damage is split. You don’t suffer any other effects from the attack (such as disease, grab, or poison).

10th level: Fear immunity: The stoneguard is immune to any natural or magical effects that cause fear, including those that would cause him to be shaken, frightened, or panicked.

12th level: Stoneblood: Once per day as a standard action, the stoneguard can cause all enemies within 30 feet to move at half normal speed, become staggered, take a -1 penalty to attack rolls, AC, and Reflex saves, and take only a single move action or standard action each turn, but not both (nor may it take full-round actions), as per a slow spell. There is no save against this effect and spell resistance does not apply.

15th level: The stoneguard cannot be reduced to 0 hp or below by means of ordinary weapons, including ordinary unarmed attacks or natural weapons. The stoneguard remains at 1 hp unless struck by magical effects.
