Patriarch Azarel Waring

Became Patriarch after the death of Matriarch Zehira in the battle against the undead who attacked the city. He was later determined to have been ultimately responsible for that attack, having allowed the Rod of Dust to leave the treasury. For his various crimes, the Council of Reverends decided to remove him from office and strike his name from the rolls of the Patriarchs, replacing him with Reverend Father Loftus. The heroes were dispatched to take him into custody, which they did after some struggles with Spokesmen still loyal to him. He was imprisoned in the Imperial dungeons.
