Mother Biatrix is an undead priestess of Owl, a ghost, forever appearing as she did at 18. A friend of Mother Alma's who underwent the undeath ritual some forty years ago, when she was in her late teens. Though profoundly spiritual, she is also practical and businesslike, a valuable counterbalance to Alma's zeal.
