Jacobine Marcoux (I)

Kalman's maternal grandmother, who until recently he had believed deceased. A failed candidate who was tested at the same time as Enzephir Dyess, fifty years ago. She survived and seemed normal, but went mad a decade or so later when Kalman's mother Neima was only a toddler, and was confined to a tower room in the palace. She spoke to the heroes, but her words were mysterious and misleading, due to her contact with the Arch.
