Elof Losturi
Elof (717-), known as Ponderer and to the Lady as Chonosh, is the keeper of Nemnu's aisamons, the clay tablets written in Jultumesh, the mystical language. He is a mystic of some considerable strength in his own right, born and raised in Naftusa as a member of the well-off commoner Losturi lineage, but having lived at Nemnosti since he was an acolyte. He does some work in the training of acolytes but is principally involved in the magical research that Nemnu Ula has been undertaking, about much of which he is sworn to secrecy. Apprenticeship to Elof is one of the highly sought-after positions for acolytes at the ulajeta as he is generally regarded as lax and kindly. A widower who never remarried after both his parents and his wife died in the Daghuri Plague, his sister-in-law Tairasta is married to Hojon, the Nemni hengi.
