Fifth-month, 2197:

   * 26th: The group attend the funeral of Matriarch Zehira, and begin to have worries about the new Patriarch, Azarel, particularly with regard to his views on the Houseless. They pay a visit to the Patriarch's residence and speak with Sister Rixende, head of staff under Zehira, who tells them about the Rod and who took it from the treasury. They report back to Exeas, who, because of his mother's position within the church, suggests they report directly to Casavant on this case. They do so.
