Bem (744-) is a stoneguard of Ravre descent, who grew up in Akapa Sogo and spent much time at Nemnosti, before eventually becoming an acolyte during her early adulthood. Bem is awkward around others but works at her role perhaps harder than any of the stoneguards at the ulajeta. There are those who say that the Pekai lineage was / is Hulti, but this is certainly is not true of Bem and may explain her personality. For a time now, she has been involved with Momuzai Nemni, son of the hengi, although their relationship is not widely approved by many of the Nemni.
