AWRR Chapter 3
Summary

Nik, Coifárë, and Gueiris meet to discuss the former's concerning letter about Lamont. They decide to see if Nik's father can get in to see him and if they can perhaps gethim away to their estate at Therma Alba. Gueiris also suggests spreading rumors about his uncle, in case he really is trying to usurp his ward and might get cold feet. Nik and Coifárë go to start this endeavour by talking to the Doumens and Leonora.
Leonora spies Duke Harcourt and his sister across the room. The parties make their introductions, including Yadda, Leonora ('s husband)'s niece. They discuss the game, and the duke invites Leonora to come visit. They discuss the absent Marquess of Stillmarch and are soon joined by Lord Evenor and Colmacil Vilyawén. They make further introductions and discuss Nik's outlandish hat before Sébastien slips away to the betting tables. Evenor once again brings up the topic of Lamont, and mentions he has been ill. Rosalie excuses herself and the discussion breaks up.
Katherina and her sister talk about the game and (of course) boys, until they are interrupted by a real live one! Gueiris stops by their family booth, and the sisters press him for stories of his adventures, until Katherina decide to give him and her sister a chance for more private conversation. She interups them again before anything more intimate happens - or their mother returns!
Leonora locates her husband and they have a family tête-à-tête with Yadda, discussing their new acquaintances and Yadda's expectations for the season.
Coifárë brings Victorina to meet some nobles (Ardith Aethlin, Vedran Callais, and Aleyn Harrowden) with connections to some of the churches in the ciy who may be able to help her spread her cause, and to carry a letter to Roscoe, the god at Shom, to curry his support as well.
Rosalie and Sébastien discuss her disinterest in the game, their family situation, and Lamont, whim they decide to try and visit.
Coifárë and Leonora meet up again and discuss how the season is progressing, including Lamont, Magga, and Yadda, with a suggestion that Nik might be good company for her, and that Coifárë could help her explore the city.
Nik asks Coifárë about their relationship with Lamont, and then spills about what happened when they were trapped together while out riding and his feelings.
