Sufumardo

Sufumardo is a small coastal city in northwestern Taizi, with around 19,000 permanent inhabitants. Long overshadowed by its neighbour Pivuku to the north (the Imperial seat) and Saspuza to the south (the economic hub), Sufumardo is an ancient city whose center is practically a maze of old lineage landholdings distributed across a complex landscape. Nevertheless, it has a good harbour and is economically well-off, located at the eastern edge of the mouth of the Vadu Sea. Sufumardo has served as an Imperial city from time to time, as in the Khutu-Taizian wars when Pivuku's position along the Khutuan border was too tenuous.
