Estrelle Torvalle was a Castalia-trained sorceress, and professor of arcane magic at the Ariège Academy of Arts & Sciences. During the Psyrene War, she was recruited into service, and was killed in action. Her familiar survived the mystic severance, and is now the companion of her neice (through Allaude Torvalle) Zola's companion.
