The Fingerprint

The Fingerprint is a mural located deep within the cave complex leading away from the Nadenigh subterranean iftibal in Akapa Sogo. Long held sacred by and created by sigillants of the Nadenigh, it has at its base carved glyphs, but is principally composed of powerful illusory magic, lit in soft blues and greens. While its existence is broadly known to the Nadenigh lineage, only Nadenigh sigillants, as well as Nemnu Ula, know that it conceals behind it a tunnel leading from the iftibal all the way to the Viper's Cave within Nemnosti.

In 768 a magical Unkind crack appeared immediately adjacent to the Fingerprint, its lines harsh and angular, in contrast to the soft curvilinear markings of the Fingerprint itself. Jevai Nadenigh, the caretaker of the Fingerprint, along with Nemnu Ula and Alai Vegru were able to discern that this crack is related to Unkindness, and they were able to travel through it into a realm of Unkindness. Jevai has been able to communicate with this crack, who calls her 'Mother'.
