Great flood of 721
The Great Flood of 721 affected the entirety of the Pasu River valley in Naftusa province in southern Khutu. Higher-than-normal winter snowfalls and spring rains led to the river overflowing its banks in many places. The temple at Nemnosti was flooded, forcing Nemnu Ula and her followers to move many of the hallowed Ancestors to higher ground. In Ai Dandura, where dams had been built centuries earlier, heavy damage to the infrastructure caused the dams to break in three places, flooding the town and killing dozens. While the town of Naftusa itself is on higher ground and was minimally affected, the village of Bemnes was completely submerged for two weeks, forcing the people to seek shelter with the nearby corpseborn village of Bemneskoma.
