Summary
The fight continues for a while, with Tsukaaav failing to get his family to stand back due to a series of unfortunate miscommunications (ie terrible rolls!). Eventually Ethessa sees and recognizes him, and is able to get her own people to stand down long enough to talk briefly. During that time, they realize they are workign on opposite siudes in this conflict - the Oglaf's for the Duates, and the Kord contingent for Marchioness Aerith Aethelin, who asked the abbot in Issenvikl for aid. Tsukaav things something seems weird about her sgory, but she doens't elaborate. In the end both sides decide to keep fighting, though the Oglafs agree among themselves to fight only to subdue.
The Oglafs are the ultimate victors, although a spellcaster in the upper levels of the holdfast wreaks some havoc among them. After everyone else is down, Qog makes it upstairs to find him and a human woman guarding a young dragonborn named Gareth. He talks them into surrendering, though Gareth does pray them in the face with mild acid when Brauni comes up to see what's happening. Still, she promises no one else will get hurt if they cooperate, and they are brought downstairs with the others while the Oglafs load up on loot.
