Alaimon Ebesnata (749 - 767) was a [[Taizi|Taizian]] prince and scion of the imperial Ebesnata dynasty.  Alaimon was a younger grandson of Emperor [[Zapan Ebesnata]] who, while not expected to inherit the imperial title himself, was certainly likely to play a major role among imperial advisors within a few years.  In 767, just after reaching the age of eighteen, Alaimon was assassinated while hunting in rural western Taizi.  He was killed by his own cousins Nejisu and Khakem in cold blood, and initially the two were arrested.  It soon became clear, however, that the two were under the influence of powerful magic.  It is generally believed that there is an open investigation into the death of the young prince and that some in the Imperial inner circle in fact know who the perpetrator was.  Nevertheless, while many names have been suggested, no one has been yet held responsible.
