Tagezhai (680-) is the hengi of the powerful Etergoldi common lineage of miners and fishers based out of Bemnes. By virtue of his role, Tagezhai bears the Great Mantle of the Etergoldi, which means that, while he is past eighty, he appears and acts as young as when he first became hengi, over thirty years ago. While he has many rivals among his own lineage, he has managed to cunningly build political alliances, including with Nemnosti, over many years. His son Tebasi was married to Hojon Nemni's older sister Kheta, and his granddaughters Sakasa and Veruve play important roles at the ulajeta.
