Description:

Chlyde is tall and lanky for an orc. Her hair is usually dyed purple to match her eyes, although it is naturally green. She has a cocky and laid back demeanor, although this masks a deep anxiety that causes her to be quick to anger and easily put on the defensive. She tends to find her own orcish heritage embarassingly backward and often tries to distance herself from it, although she is deeply loyal to her family and caravan. Her best friend is her cousin Brauni. Along with her other cousin Aan, they have formed a theatrical act that they use to earn money from town to town with their own unique brand of "Music"

Known History

Chlyde was born Kroda Oglaf, second oldest child of [Volda Oglaf]. She grew up traveling with the caravan and learning various skills and tricks from the different settlements they traded with. During her youth she showed a natural aptitude for music as well as a natural cleverness, and a tendency towards recklessness that made her uniquely suited to become a bard.

She was sent for a year to [Grimfarr] to study at the bard's school in the city and while there she changed her name to it's dwarvicized version, "Chlyde" to distance herself somewhat from her orcish heritage, which she found embarassing. In Grimfarr she met and fell in love with a human man named [Connell]. Although it was not planned, the two had a child and Chlyde planned to bring [Connell] and her new daughter [Volga] back to her caravan when she left the school. However, soon after [Volga] was born, both Connell and the child disappeared without a trace from the apartment that the three shared while Chlyde was out. She spent weeks searching for them, but was unable to find any leads or clues as to where they had gone.

Feeling ashamed and betrayed, and not knowing what else to do, Chlyde returned home to her caravan and has tried (Unsucessfully) to forget about her loss and drown her sorrows in music, gambling, and other vices.
