Hettie Hyde is a woman of 46 with red hair and green eyes. A long-time member of the human resistance, Hettie is down-to-earth and can be brutally honest when necessary, strong-willed and driven to help those who need it. She has one son, Garlan, whose father was caught and executed by the SK when the boy was still small. Since Julian's wife died, she has set up housekeeping with him.
