Summary
Kaia, Jola, Osha, and Xavier keep their appointment to meet at the Green Mermaid a month after their arrival in Friestadt. They are discussing their portentous dreams when someone tries to cast a spell on Jla. After several other unsuccessful attempts to magically manipulate them, the party decides to leave. They encounter a strange monster when they decsend the inn stairs, and this causes a general panic among the patrons. Two mages, possibly a wizard and a priest, attempt to kill the party, and eventually trap most of them in a web after setting the inn on fire with a web. Taharqa appears, late to the meeting, and dispatches the casters. Jola manages to rescue both the other girls from suffocating in the smoking inn, and Taharqa rescues his fellow Hound.
