Colony of Gaulle. Mariannas began as something of a vanity project for the Princesse Joan Marie of Everre, second daughter of Queen Madelaine XII. Mariannas is a largely agricultural colony, with extensive productive farmland. It exports textiles and paper back to its home country and has a reputation for both rugged independence and conservative social and religious values.
