Heru Sanari (711-), known as Black Kidney, and formerly of the Gargimnai lineage. is a middle-aged farmwife at first appearance, but is extremely physically fit and appears probably ten years younger than she is, at minimum, with a range of tattoos across her body. She lives in Zhustir with her husband Mutur at the Vabaseli iftibal. Her parents were caught up in the failed rebellion of Ekrakosh, which occurred just before she was born, and Heru was raised by her grandparents after her parents were executed. She continues to have somewhat radical social opinions but generally knows to keep them to herself. Born into the Gargimnai lineage, in 768 she was one of the first adopted into the new Sanari lineage by Sanar Ula.
