Summary

Having dealt with the death giant, the party goes to report to Nimozaran and Yevelda - they are very surprised about the death giant. After some debate between the two mages, Yvelda explains what these alledgedly mythical giants are/were: Long ago, before the empires, and whatever came before them, during the Dawn War, the primordials created the giants to be their soldiers on Arth, formed from the world itself. But, just like other peoples, not all the giants followed their forebears, and some sided with the gods over the endless conflict. Death giants pledged themselves to an ancient god of the dead, fighting on the side of the gods. Most importantly, they reassure folks that they did the right thing and that they have probably fixed the lingering issues.

Verex joins the party to go talk to the Lord.... who takes them and pays them, but also suggests that ti woudl be better if they move along. They accept his gold, and the Brukuror discuss what to do next. After discussion, they decide to go South towards Vilyawen to try and find Kanduk's people.

Frond and Kirar go to see Ressilmae and they talk about the warden's 'recommendation' and people's attitudes in town. He gives them a blessing.

Kanduk and Brauni talk, both excited that he will be staying with them for now. He tells her a bit about his twin.

Tsuaav returns to the temple to speak to Uir, to tell him that the family is moving on, and give him some coins an pray together.

Rio comes to talk to Qog and gift him a dagger that he made - Qog gives him a carved necklace as an encouragement to keep getting better.

Lumiel tells Aan that he would like to stay with him, and that he thinks that's where he duty lies at the moment. He then tells Aan more about Avandra and he brother Torog, who Anaherael serves: the twins forever bound, forever separate. he also tell him that Anaherael must think Aan is special if she gifted him with some of her power.

The caravan heads out, and spends the first night on the edge of the Harkenvald, the forest southeast of town along the King's Trail, though no one seems to rememebr which king it's named for. Another two days brings them to the small village of Harkenwold, on the other side of the forest at the far edge of Metsämäki. Not too long after they cross the Valkea River, you spot smoke on the horizon, in the direction of Harkenwold. Qog is sure that's more smoke than just hearth fires would account for. When some of the party ride out to investuigate, they find the Moron clan attacking the village, doing mercenary work for annother lord. The Morons invite them back to their fire for the evening.
