Emperor of House Ox, r. 1536-1563. The last Emperor who could truly claim to be of common birth, Loch was born into a minor provincial merchant family, rose to the rank of Captain in the Imperial Guard, and was unexpectedly proffered as a candidate for the throne by House Ox, who were unable to decide among the assortment of noble-born potential candidates (and somewhat disillusioned with the past several noble rulers).
