Vuruma (710-) is the hengi of the Uklorofte lineage, one of very few in [[Khutu]] that traditionally has a female hengi and reckons descent primarily through the matriline. A woman passing from her middle years, Vuruma has extensive and close relations with most of the other Naftusa lineages, and most recently has been trying to secure a marriage between one of her descendants and one of the [[Nemni lineage]], so far without success. The Uklorofte hold substantial landholdings as ibex herders and participate actively in the town's weaving industry, so Vuruma is quite wealthy for a commoner.
