Veruve (739-) is Nemnu's Vessel - a mystic of considerable power whose body Nemnu can possess and use to work magic. Veruve is a woman of almost thirty and is considered to be a great beauty, but is constrained from any formal romantic relationship given her highly unusual role. In theory, Veruve could be occupied by Nemnu almost constantly, but Nemnu is careful not to abuse that power. Nemnu only uses Veruve to travel outside of Nemnosti on exceptionally rare occasions, given that the possession carries some risk to both of them. Veruve was an acolyte, originally from a common lineage near Ardukh, and was adopted by the sister of the hengi Hojon at the end of her apprenticeship to Nemnu.
