Also known as the barrens or the high rocks, the Turtu is the jagged area of dry hills to the east of the [[Khujai River]] and north of the [[Pasu River]]. Largely inaccessible and difficult to traverse, it is far more hostile to life than [[The Ghengom]], despite being at a far lower elevation; all of its spring-fed rivers have largely dried up and so the region's fresh water is largely from sparse rainfall.
