Ryan is a laid back redneck hunter that the party met on the road on their way to New Orleans driving an old, beat up pickup truck loaded with dead javalinas. He has since shown up on at least two other occasions. He is an accomplished hunter, claiming to take down boars, bears, and other animals using only his trusty bowie knife. He also has a bow and arrow which he reserves for what he calls "Big Game" and an old blue-tick hound that follows him everywhere.

In reality, Ryan is Orion, the famous hunter of greek mythology and son of Poseidan and Euryale. He was famous in greek myth for slaying many animals and monsters and hunting with the goddess Artemis.
