'''Pivuku''' is a small city and capital of [[Taizi]]. Although it has only around 13,000 inhabitants, its strategic importance as the homeland of the [[Ebesnata lineage]] has made it an Imperial center of power since the fall of the [[Omban Empire]] in 338 IE. It is a city designed in the low, rectangular grey stone typical of the northern coastal cities, leading to the Imperial palace and estate on a hill overlooking the [[Ujon River]], the sea, and then across the river to [[Khutu]]. During the [[Khutu-Taizian wars]] and other times of tension, the capital has moved from Pivuku to [[Sufumardo]] to the south, but has always returned here upon the restoration of peace. It is a deeply conservative place where obedience to Imperial (Ebesnata) decorum and the nobility are strongly enforced.
