The '''Outer Caves''' are a series of gated caves that centuries ago were part of the system of alabaster quarries lying between [[Nemnosti (site)|Nemnosti]] and the village of [[Hertu]]. They hold revered Ancestors who are under the protection of Nemnu Ula, but are not the most honored ancestors, who rest in the Inner Caves within the walls of the ulajeta. These include nobles who have paid for the privilege; anyone who has served honourably as an acolyte; and select other individuals honoured for their service to the ulajeta.
