Welcome, acolytes! Here at [[Nemnosti]], we take very seriously the idea of inquiry into areas where other ulajette might discourage the same. More than one strange idea has been offered over the years. Coming, as you do, from lineages and communities where that may not always have been the case, it can be exhilarating to realize the freedom one has here, of course within limits set by the Alabaster Lady. And so, from time to time, someone at the ulajeta gives a great public speech, an Oration, where they speak to the whole community on a matter of interest to them. Of course, not everyone comes to these - in fact, more than one acolyte has used one as an opportunity for foolishness. I trust we will have none of that! Today you are going to have the opportunity to hear Voice [[Kailas Nemni|Kailas]], one of our wisest priests here at the temple, talk to you on a matter of great importance. Although it is Khurar and the weather is likely to be warm, there is always the risk of spring rain and so it will take place in the great Atrium here in Carver's Hall. Come now, acolytes, and let us hear what he has to say.

-Voice Kailas offers up his new theory of Dwindling, the idea that there are fewer saints awakening today than in the past. Izu talks to him about this theory and why it is controversial.  In the wake of her brother's assault of Echu Pekai, Jevai talks to Bura Hazh, the reckoner in charge of dispensing justice.  Marga talks to Bem Pekai about the attack on her dad, and how her boyfriend Momuzai broke up with her immediately afterwards. Izu and Antezheva Teresu have a disturbing encounter about which they would like to talk less.  Kuspir talks to Momuzai about his breakup with Bem.  Avrubai Dusmanis comes to Izu for advice on how to hit on Alai, with little success.  Zaren Nemni comes to his son-in-law Kuspir to offer to help ease the load on the stoneguards.  Kuspir learns about his daughter Irdomila's early days as an acolyte and her desire to learn fos magic. Jevai visits her father Porfo at home, and they talk about family drama and, of course, Pughan. Marga visits the camp of Bache Tokanai (Cascade) and learns that they saw Gunuremai some weeks earlier.  Ifa and Alai restore Desam's memory, allowing him to recall the face and voice of Gunuremai and share it with them.  Alai learns from Voice Imas that the ruins where Surgu was killed is potentially an ancient Hulti temple from before the Great Purge.  Ifa helps in the early negotiations between Hojon Nemni and Pomirabe Sortusai, so Hojon can marry off his mistress Afra to his son Momuzai, which is definitely not creepy.  Jevai learns from her mom Fusna about Pughan's true parentage, the reason why Lijun Ararta died the second time, and why her mom and dad are having drama.  Pomirabe complains to Kuspir about his screwed-up family and the marriage arrangements between Momuzai and Afra.  Kuspir and Alai chat about Hulti temples and Gunuremai's appearance, and then Alai unsuccessfully attempts to mount him. Jevai and Alai encounter Susuva Nemni, who talks to them about Surgu and Ailal.

+Voice Kailas is a respected Voice in his middle years, a genealogist and expert on family relationships.  He speaks with authority, at much greater length than can be presented here, on matters of national censuses and land rolls and other such matters.  But the essence is simple: ''[[The Hypothesis of Dwindling]], by Kailas Nemni''.  Afterwards, the audience response is mixed.  Some nod wisely, a few seem very perturbed, especially among the Voices, and many, especially the youth, seem completely baffled.
