The highest mountain in [[Naftusa Province]] and one of the highest, perhaps the highest, in all of [[Khutu]], Momichas lies roughly at the border with [[Taizi]] at the center of the [[Khurorgos Mountains]]. It is an extinct volcano whose caldera is now a strange lake. Its red rocky soils are said by legend to be the bloodstains left by the great [[ikhano]] (giant vultures) that are still sometimes seen in the region, and, legend says, by the queen of the ikhano, [[Ushukuna]] (Khutir). Only the very hardy or very foolish ascend Momichas, although the country folk of the hills are said to undertake rites of passage there.
