The '''Mausoleum''' is a complex of structures that serves as the sociopolitical hub for the country of [[Khutu]], located near the seacoast in the center of the city of [[Onighus]]. It is both the residence of [[Eluli Ula]] including his ulajeta; the site for the major aspects of Khutuan bureaucracy including the [[Conduit|Conduits]], and an actual mausoleum holding certain [[Ancestors (Kind)|Ancestors]] of the Omban nobility (though it no longer has room to accept new Ancestors). The area now called by the label 'Mausoleum' is over 150 x 100 metres in size, covering much of the length of the eastern side of the city center along the coast next to the harbour, and is a complex admixture of buildings and plazas of different architectural styles. The mausoleum itself was built in the early second century, and still stands as a superior example of Omban architecture of the early years. Much of the rest of the complex was built in the years just after 334 IE, when Eluli Ula moved Himself from [[Omba (city)|Omba]] to Onighus just before the end of the [[Omban Empire]]. Over the years, as Khutu's bureaucracy has become more complex, the Mausoleum has been rebuilt and expanded multiple times. The term 'The Mausoleum' is also used as a metonym to refer to the workings of the Khutuan government itself, particularly in the case of unpopular decisions or criticism that it would be unwise to attribute to Eluli Himself.
