In exactly 100 words, unless you count contractions as one word rather than two (in which case, it's fewer than 100 words), here is a drabble about [[Martan Kizer]] and Mercy Hartzell. Martan Kizer was a bored Duke. To spice his life up a little he developed an alter ego known as Taran Dark, a somewhat legendary thief. He split his time between Diablotin, where his wife lived, and Caulderon, where his love, Mercy, lived. I know very little about her, but this could be one explanation for their relationship. ^-^

They reclined in a sunny bower on the estate at Caulderon.

"Marry me."

"You know I can't."

She held the ring out to him.

"Where - how did you get this?"

"The page. The new one."

She smiled, and he had to smile back.

"That was you?"

"Of course."

"Lirienne is going to be furious when she finds her wedding ring missing."

"Who cares? She's there, I'm here."

Martan smiled again. Would that it were so simple. He returned his wife's wedding ring to its thief. Her eyes were sparkling with humour.

"Gods, I love you, Mercy."
