Kalu is an elderly tiefling who is the head priest of the Turathi forces in [[Nēšu Abamātu]]. He has been a personal cleric for the Lalû family for decades, having befriended May's Mother [[Kēnūtu Lalû]] while they were both serving as neophyte priests of Asmodeus. The two courted for a short time but any chance of the two marrying was cut short after political developments led to Kēnūtu's parents betrothing her to May's father [[Durāru]]. He remained a friend of Kēnūtu for the rest of her life until she and her husband perished in the fall of Bael turath. He now remains with her daughter [[Māmītu]], attempting to instruct her in the ways of Asmodeus.
