Jorota (720-) is Nemnu's Preceptor, the official overseer of the training of Nemnu's acolytes in the Courses. Jorota is a powerful mystic from the city of Omba who was once Nemnu's apprentice during and after her own time as an acolyte, and has remained loyal to her for decades since. Now in her middle years, the elders still remember that she is not a native but she is regarded by many as being as close to Nemnu as anyone save her closest kin of the Nemni lineage. She is married to a fellow teacher at the ulajeta and they have one living child.
