The Itineration of Eluli was a year-long ritual in which [[Eluli Ula]] travelled, under heavy guard, to every region of [[Khutu]], throughout the year 734, to commemorate four hundred years of His rule over the country. Eluli made twenty-nine different visitations to major communities and temples throughout Khutu, listening to appeals from the citizenry, blessing children and new marriages, and visiting and speaking to revered saints and [[Ancestors]] who were important to Him. Those alive at the time remember the Itineration as a celebration of Khutu's unity, neutrality, and piousness. While there was some general concern due to the assassination of [[Malung Ula]] in 722, nothing untoward happened during the Itineration.
