Located at the far north of the duchy where the rocky coast of the sea meets the Brekleb (Baraklef) River, Iflaisko has close cultural ties to the coastal [[Luetka|Luetkan]] towns to the west, and is a major defensive fort along the river against incursions from the north. Although it, along with all of Nulu, was formally incorporated into the [[Omban Empire]] in 161 IE, over 600 years ago, Iflaisko remains quite strident about its independence from Imperial customs to the present. The city is a jewel of Nuluan architecture with great stone columnar estates set against the river and the sea.
