The Grand Kelta is the largest and oldest kelta or guild-hall for [[Envoy|envoys]] in the Imperial successor states, located in the center of the city of [[Omba (city)|Omba]]. Founded in 29 IE during the reign of the Emperor [[Gandachi dynasty|Tulures Gandachi]], it is an expansive marble domed structure that has undergone several episodes of renovation and expansion in the centuries since. During the Imperial period, it was the central hub for all non-military communication throughout the Empire and was central to the economic and political fortunes of the Omban dynasties. After the end of the empire in 338 IE, the kelta, and relationships across keltas, were an important stabilizing force preventing outright anarchy in the early successor states. While other keltas are now perhaps larger, such as that of [[Lunduso]], [[Daligash]], its central location, historical importance, and considerable amassed wealth mean that the Omban Grand Kelta is still recognized as the most important.
