Furugazh Ula (38 BE - 15 BE - ), born Furugazh Amanimo, is the first individual known and generally recognized to have become a saint after death. Born into a farming lineage in southern Hasmala in the chaotic final years of the Omban monarchy, Furugazh lived a simple farming life before being conscripted to fight against raiders from Basai, and was promptly killed. Furugazh's awakening in 15 BE was quickly attended by Zunuga, whose epiphany had been only the year before, and she was the first to recognize him as a new Kind, alongside the others like bubun and shoror being newly recognized at the time. In the early, pre-Imperial times of the Corps, temples were generally temporary and haphazard, and Furugazh had to move himself several times during those years. But by the early Imperial period, he had established his cult in the Hasmalan capital of Kigraz, where he remains to this day. Furugazh is known to have powers of control and enchantment of others, and was once much more involved in politics. Nowadays he is rarely involved in any affairs whatsoever, and keeps a very quiet life under the care of the Voice in Hasmala.
