The '''Filija Mountains''' are a long, narrow mountain range of sharp, jagged peaks that long served as the western border of the [[Omban Empire]]. Including the northern foothills, the Filijas are nearly 1000 km in length, and vary in width between 50 and 150 km. Most of the mountains are now formally within the area designated as the [[Ashnabis Territory]]; however, there is very little settlement in the highest area of the mountains. Rather, it has served, since the end of the [[Osnabi campaigns]], as a natural barrier preventing frequent contact between the Omban Empire and its successor states and Ashnabis and other lands to the west of the mountains. There are a number of hill and mountain passes through the Filijas near the city of [[Kebulund]] in western [[Choradan]], which are central to the functioning of the [[fos rush]].
