Fezef (603-689), known as Greatwalker and simply as The Captain, was a [[Ravre]] from the high mountain village of [[File:Vija Sogo|thumb]], who gained a reputation as a hunter of such great skill as a youth that [[Nemnu Ula]] Herself recruited him specifically to come to [[Nemnosti]] and train as a stoneguard. By 629 he had become known as Captain, a title which had been used sporadically previously at the ulajeta, but came to embody his relentless defense of the cloister. He married Lisava, cousin of his friend, the hengi Sulaisum II, and has a few Nemni descendants to the present day. He served during the [[Calendar Rebellion]], and then, after the [[fos blight]] of 649-51 and [[The Unrendering]] of 669, against the raiders and brigands who saw the cloister as a ready target. His signature phrase, "until feet fail" is inscribed at the base of the great statue erected after his death, so that he can forever watch over the entry gates of the cloister.
