The earthquake of 715 was a major earthquake that struck just east of the city of [[Omba (city)|Omba]]. Still recovering from the [[Great Flood of 702]], the city was further damaged, including the city walls and several temples containing precious ancient [[Ancestors]]. It is estimated that 400 people died and over 150 ancestors were permanently lost due to the earthquake. This further destabilized the city and led to the [[Bone War]] a few years later.
