Daligash is a large mercantile republic, the economic powerhouse of the former provinces of the Empire. Here, the power of the aristocracy has waned and wealth, however earned, is the source of political authority. Wealthy citizens buy their way into positions of power by affiliating with one of two great factions, the Bronze and the Ruby, and decisions are made by councils of these plutocrats. Its great cities along the south shore of Lake Bunduga are among the most powerful and populous in the former Omban territories, and its vast farms and ranches provide food for hundreds of thousands, allowing for a strong military. The cities of Daligash are known to be places where [[Corpseborn]] are allowed, perhaps even encouraged, to blend in with other humans, and where strict rank and status have less meaning than elsewhere.
