The Atamurine Purge was the second great purge of [[Hulti]] from the [[Omban Empire]], starting in 119 IE and lasting about a year. Unlike the [[Jemosine Purge]] that preceded it, the Atamurine Purge relied far more heavily on direct military intervention, wiping out villages, forcing thousands regarded as Hulti or nonconformists to flee for more favourable territory, often in [[Malfan]] (then not part of the Empire). It took its name from Atamur, a [[Voice of the Dead|Voice]] theologian and rabblerouser, who, though not directly involved in attacking or displacing anyone, wrote a series of tracts against the Hulti that directly inspired the government of the period, including the [[Gandachi dynasty|Emperor Impukh]] as well as [[Eluli Ula]]. Many thousands of Hulti were killed and countless more were displaced as part of the purge.
