 The party arrives near the gate in Yeshual at the time of the initial invasion.  They encounter a healer Illithid named Dashk who will eventually become the elder brain of Gary's home city of (Place).  Because of this, they assume it must be Gary's place.
-After Irrez recovered another piece of the Gate (with Gary taking the psychic bullet that is the feedback from handling a divine artifact. The psychic feedback turns Gary into Caplock Gary and yells at Irrez a lot (who probably deserved it). The group then hid themselves in a storehouse in the Gate's temple. After being brought into proximity with Xenos, the shard tried moving itself towards him. Irrez asked permission to release the shard, and got approval for said action from Xenos.  However the crystal tried to merge with him when it came into contact with him.  Gary realizes it is trying to perform some form of ceromophosis on him and they manage to get it out of him before that happens. Dashk drops by after hearing the commotion and Gary accepts his help.  Eventually they decide to try feeding it into the gate shard they are carrying instead.  This is successful, and the smaller shard transforms the gate shard into a new life form, who takes the name of Strange.

 Alymene, Gary, and Xenos go check out a local market in the morning and make a few purchases for gifts, or future culinary experimentation. Inn the afternoon, the party goes with Meghan and Eyllia to investigate the dragon temple.  Along they way they rescue a woman who claims to be from a shipwreck, but after they face the temple guardian it is revealed that she is actually Zyanya!

 The party has a mixed reaction to Zyanya, who eventually reveals that she came to investigate because she could feel her connection to Dhuxul.  They tell her that they will see her in the future, and that things get better for her - except Gary who mostly just wants her to go away (or maybe fall in a hole and die).  After this, they are granted an audiece with the dragon Terus.  They explain their situation t him, and after examining them all, he reveals that the situation is more complex than they had realized.  They have not slipped in time in space, but rather are in a displaced possibility of reality created by the shard, and may have to do more travelling through these possibilities to return to their proper time, place, and existence - however what happens in these experience have the possibility of becoming real, so they must be careful of their actions.  Some of the party goes to retrieve and inform Wahalla of what is happening, as all those who travelled together are bound by the experience.  Irrez stays behind, as Dhuxul asked Terus if he would be able to help with the Shadow Curse, and they determined that having someone stay would probably help the connection to Terus's subplane stay open.

 The group gets back to the village of their rescuers and learns a bit more about the current situation: Wahala's uncle has taken over and her brothers are living as exiled pirate princes.  The party agrees to help her reunite with them, and they head to Ebúté Okọ̀ to try and find them.  Their ship is in port there, and Wahala manages to meet up with them as well as some other old friends.

 Once in the chamber, the party gets the jump on their guide, and although the humans (Obrin and Rihsab) explode into horrible tentacled nightmare, they subdue them without too much difficulty and get the shard into the bag.  Knowing that the alarm has been raised, they decide to stick with the original plan and smuggle everyone out through the bag into the shadowfell.  However, as Irrez plane shifts, something goes awry (something about planeshifting with an interdimensional gate in an interdimensional pocket).  They come out (under water) in the distant past and halfway around the world, about ten years and not far from where Wahalla originally left, near Morro.
