Kanduk takes his father and the amulet back to town for safety.  The others decide to proceed to the old fort, where the creepy shadow figures are going, and where they now know Kalarel is waiting.</ins></div></td></tr>

Learning that Kalarel is downstairs, they close off some of the ways downstairs while investigating the other rooms of the upper level, and find some more dwarves in what look like a torture room.  One of the dwarves (Carl) surrenders, but one of his compatriots still resists.  After he is subdued, Whisper tells Carl that its his lucky day.  The party plans to ask him some questions about what is going on...</ins></div></td></tr>
