Krusk Oglaf, called "Big" Krusk to differentiate him from his grandson, is the elder of Verex's two living husbands. He and his late elder brother Tarak came from the Kuvur clan, old rivals of the Oglafs. Verex and Krusk fell in love during their first campaign as adults, but Krusk's mother required her elder son to marry first before the two could wed. The spoils of that campaign allowed for Verex to marry the both of them, and Krusk and Verex have had many happy years together.

Krusk is quiet and considerate, measured and contemplative. He is the caravan's main smith, though he prefers to spend his time with more delicate, artistic work, time permitting. Never the warrior Tarak was, Krusk has nevertheless seen combat across Nerath and bears the scars to prove it. He dotes on his grandchildren and often indulges them with treats and toys when possible.
