She is certainly past forty, although she won't specify her exact age, though still with a strong voice and compelling stage presence. She is known to be the highest-paid entertainer at the club, and also has a considerable income from her best-selling recordings. 'Sonnet', the sole name she usually goes by, is clearly a stage name, although what her birth name is, is not commonly known.
